They use Excel more intensively than I do and need access to the full feature set. Biggest missing area is data model / power pivot - for many people this alone would be a good reason not to use it, but for me, I'll just jump into R or something if I need to work with much large datasets.įor my team members though, it's a little different. I can still can do realtime co-authoring with colleagues (super important), and can achieve most of what I need to. These days, my Excel use is typically limited to quick & dirty charts & analysis - and it's 'fine' for that. I head up a data analytics team (within a small/medium tech company), so we have a mix of Windows, Mac & Linux across the business.
